ReplyDeleteDefinitely true. What I do is type 'the end' then tell my CPs, 'its kinda on the short end, so if there's anything you'd love more of, TELL ME!' haha ;)

ReplyDeleteI have the opposite problem. Before I know it, I've hit 120,000 words and my story is nowhere close to the end. I have a serious problem with brevity.
ReplyDeleteIt's an odd conundrum. Creative writing dictates you should cut out as much as possible, but when selling books they like length. Finding a compromise is tricky, and something I struggle with myself.
